3 Lessons From The Military
We all dream of having our kids become more wildly successful than they even dream of being!
As parents, we want to help them down the path that empowers them to become the best versions of themselves. We want them to be 100% uniquely them while not feeling the pressure of conforming to whatever the world thinks.
This is a task that seems to be getting tougher and tougher each and every day with more and more distractions seemingly popping up as each day passes.

My brother Kyle is a recently promoted Captain in the Air Force, doing some amazing things to help this country. We are blessed to have had the opportunity to steal some of his time as he was in town for our sister Shelley’s wedding.
When I asked him to come up with a Top Lesson Learned list, he without hesitation, boiled it down to 3 things.

33 Birthday Gratitude Thoughts!
Man this time of year is always one to reminisce. Back in 2014, I was graduating from Concord university, a small Division II school located in Southern West Virginia. I was just coming off of a senior year filled with a lot of success. I batted .393 with 13 homers, a school record 21 doubles, and finished 1st in the nation with 71 RBIs in the regular season. At the end of the season, I was recognized to be on the top 50 of the nation's best player award (Tino Martinez Award).
5 Reasons You Must Train During Season
The first thing I thought of this morning when I woke up was how I am beyond grateful for the life that I am living. Just like yours, it has been filled with ups, downs, sideways, crazy-ways and have been thrown more curveballs than I can count! But through it all, I am beyond blessed!
5 Lessons We Can Learn From Tom Brady
With most spring sports right around the corner, I have been receiving lots of questions on in-season training and whether it is a good idea or not.
Short answer: IT IS IMPERITIVE to train during your season!
If you wanting to be successful long term, you MUST train during season. With that being said, I see a lot of people drop all training once season begins. I think this is for a couple of reasons.
The first reason is time.
The second reason is parents trying to do the right thing, but with a lack of information.
Whenever I see high achievers in anything, whether it is business, sports, relationships, or life… I try and study it and learn what they are doing. I do this because I was to excel and thrive in all those same areas of my life as well! I realized I had to make a mindset change and begin to learn everything I could from them if I wanted to get to where they are.
So now when I see Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, Nick Saban, Geno Auriemma win another National Championship or Super Bowl, I smile. I smile because I know there are lessons that I can learn from them!
Here are my Top 5 Lessons I learned from our most recent Super Bowl with the Patriots, yet again winning!

Would I help you to avoid all the pain and challenges that you faced in your life? Or do I encourage you to take more risk and to fear less? Should I encourage you to take more challenges and to tackle more? If I could write this letter, I would write this... Read More

Things You Should Read - 2/17/2017
Over the past couple weeks; I have been receiving many questions of various topics, but many pertaining to my thoughts on in-season training. Many of our athletes are baseball players and will train in the offseason for 3 or 4 months. After the offseason, traditionally they will then go off and play high school athletics, followed by summer ball, followed by fall ball, and 8 months later they are back. These athletes work maniacally for those 3 to 4 months in hopes that those gains will carry them through the next 8 months. In reality, the season wears us down and does more damage to us than good. The solution to the breakdown is in-season training.

3 Ways to Stay on Track for 2017
"Don't" is used to describe a regulation that forbids something. In the human vocabulary we often use the word "do" to dictate a positive behavior. The word "Don't" is virtually extinct when referring to a positive behavior. However, I have put together a twelve "Don't" series to live by in your every day life. As hard as it is to believe, these "Don'ts" are going to shy out the negative behaviors we can find ourselves guilty of. Every one wants to be successful but not every one wants to sacrifice the negative behaviors that bring nothing to their lives. Here are the first three "Don'ts" in the series:
3 Steps To A More Positive 2017!
“New Year, New Me”, one of the most popular quotes at the start of every New Year. Everyone seems to start the New Year off with determination, but then the train begins to slow down and get off track. All those resolutions remain to be unscathed and untouched and put on the back burner until the following year. Why do you think that is? What throws you off the tracks? Maybe the level of effort you are putting forth isn’t actually your absolute best effort. See, everyone is built to do “just enough”, but what is hard is to actually exert 100% of your effort. What people think is 100%, is really only 80%. That final 20% is left on the table and when times get tough, you give up. Here are 3 ways to stay the course, and stay focused on achieving your goals throughout the entire year.
