Crucible Turns 4!

Ryan's Top 4 Lessons In 4 Years

1. The Importance of An Amazing Team - To say the least, there is no way that Crucible would be what it has become without an amazing team. While some of our coaches aren't currently with us, they played an imperative part in helping build the culture that is at Crucible today!

Without the selfless acts and countless extra hours that they put in doing the "Little Things", Crucible would never have grown to what it is today. If you want to go places, gather a great team and get to work!

2. The Little Things Are The Big Things - Before I got into business, I may have thought that the size of the facility, how nice the equipment is, how many coaches there are, what certifications the coaches have or even the location as being the most important aspects of the business.

What I have found is, while important, it's the little moments that are the big moments. The moments that happen between the big moments. It is the small conversations and chats between sets with the athletes. It is the conversations with the parents before and after class. It is the talks we have when we want to know "How you are REALLY doing". Those are the little moments that I have grown to cherish the most. THAT is where the real impact and change occurs.

3. Never Stop Refining - Just as a real crucible works, we want to continue refining ourselves. It has been important for me to continue growing and challenging myself as a servant leader, business owner, coach, teammate, friend, husband, father, and man of faith during these past 4 years.

As I look back to year 1 of Crucible, I halfway chuckle and wonder how we made it knowing what I know now! The Big Man above was certainly looking out for us over these past 4 years!

4. Cherish The Challenge - While this was our saying and tagline, we certainly have had to learn what it truly means to Cherish The Challenge over these past 4 years. Those of you who have been with us certainly understand that and had to live that as well!

This became a lesson and a way of life for me over these past 4 years, but this mindset has most certainly allowed me to grow beyond what I would have otherwise! We must remember that the challenges in life are happening FOR US and not TO US! This mindset couldn't be more important than it is now!

5. And Then Some - I know I said I would do 4, but therein lies the lesson! Going above and beyond and doing More Than Expected is never a bad thing! There was never a time over the past 4 years that I gave a little more or served a little more that I regretted it.

This is a lesson I plan on amping up EVEN MORE as we come out of the Corona Quarantine!

And there you have it! My Top 5 Lessons from our 4 years in business. There is nothing I would rather have been doing over these past 4 years than serving you and your families. It fills my heart with such joy with every conversation we have, and with every success story you send in.

I want to THANK YOU for giving me and my team the opportunity to continue to serve you these past 4 years! It is not a job that we take lightly and we are humbled each and every day when you choose to allow us to teach, coach, train and mentor them through life!

We can't wait to continue serving you! Here's to many more years of Cherishing The Challenge!
